Hey, I’m Tom 👋

I started MovingStories because I was reading stories with my son and thought it would be a fun way to learn how to animate. I’d take his favourite books and bring them to life — he was my audience of one. It started as a hobby, something we shared together.

He’s since outgrown it, but I’m still here making them. Turns out a lot of other kids (and parents) enjoy them too.

What MovingStories is about

I make animated read-alouds of beloved children’s books. The goal is simple: make great stories accessible, provide calm and slow media for young kids, and promote a love of reading.

I stay true to the original stories. No added nonsense, no filler, no loud sound effects to keep kids hooked. Just the book, animated and narrated the way it was meant to be experienced. The kind of content I was happy to let my own child watch on the limited screen time he got.

Who it’s for

Parents who are conscientious about screen time and want something wholesome when they do press play. Teachers looking for a calm storytime resource. And kids who love a good story.
